Keith A. Blanchard

Co-Owner

Keith A. Blanchard is Co-Owner of Blanchard Family Funeral Home and Birch Hill Cemetery. Keith and his wife, Amanda Gladd Blanchard met in 1994 while attending college in Cincinnati and both received their bachelors degree in Mortuary Science in 1995. Keith is a 5th generation and Amanda a 2nd generation caretaker in Funeral Service. The Blanchard Family started in Funeral Service in 1863 in Ohio and have been continuously active ever since.

Keith and Amanda first moved to Fairbanks in 2006 where they met Erik Salitan. They fell in love with the Interior and found themselves involved in many community activities, including Rotary, Chamber of Commerce and the Catholic Schools of Fairbanks. Keith enjoyed many years of Coaching High School Football at Baseball at Monroe Catholic High School.

Keith and Amanda have 2 children, Nick and Caroline who also live in Fairbanks. Keith loves to spend time outdoors and traveling all over Alaska.

Keith is currently involved with several fraternal organizations as an officer and sits on the Board of Directors with the Greater Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce.

Erik Roberts Salitan

Co-Owner

Erik Roberts Salitan is Co-Owner of Blanchard Family Funeral Home and Birch Hill Cemetery. Erik and his wife Martha Mae split their time between Fairbanks and the Bush. Erik attended several schools including the University of Alaska Fairbanks and holds a Degree in Applied Science. Funeral service is a tradition in the Salitan family making Erik a 3rd generation Funeral Service Care Giver. The Salitan's and Blanchard's have both been close friends and worked together for over a decade. Erik and Martha Mae are invested in the Fairbanks community and have their son Lucas enrolled at Wood River Elementary. They also volunteer in the community and are members of several local fraternal organizations. The Salitan's when not working enjoy the outdoors and are avid hunters, trappers, and fishermen. Erik is also a pilot and guide and has worked across the state having lived in and visited many rural communities.
