Obituary
Russell Hobart Green, Jr. age 87 of Fairbanks, passed away on Sunday, October 30th, 2022 of natural causes.
Russell was born on May 4, 1935 in South Branch, New Jersey. He served his Country honorably in the US Air Force in Vietnam and received the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He was married to Nancy-Joy Green in 1973 in Fairbanks and has lived in Alaska for 66 years. He worked for Singer Sewing Company and was the owner/operator of Sew & Vac here in Fairbanks. Russell was a member of Kiwanis International and US Coast Guard Auxiliary.
Russell is survived by his wife, Nancy-Joy Green, his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous other family members.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses; 1247 Old Steese Highway with Alex Twogood officiating. A reception will be held immediately following services at IBEW Hall; 2000 Airport Way.
