On Friday, May 7th, 2021, Nancy Ann Kelly, loving wife, passed away at age 67.
Nancy was born on February 10th, 1954 in Dearborn, MI to William and Beatrice (Terrill) Stefanac. Nancy served in the Army, leaving with an honorable discharge. She received her degree in accounting from University of Fairbanks, and practiced as a professional accountant. Nancy married the love of her life, Larry H. Kelly on December 26th, they enjoyed twenty-five wonderful years together. She inherited the love of Larry’s two adult children, Bree and John.
Her passion for quilting was only matched by her desire for nurturing her relationship with her family. Especially that of the coveted title of ‘Nana’, to three wonderful grandchildren, Braxton, Brady, and Jovi Hazel. Nancy was an enthusiastic artist with beadwork, often traveling to showcase and obtain new fabrics for her quilts. Nancy was a devout Catholic, and made several religious pilgrimages to Medjugorje, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, to stand before the Blessed Virgin Mary. She often said this was a beautifully positive experience, and she carried it with her until the end. Nancy was known for the vibrancy she radiated, quick wit, and her a truly compassionate soul.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, and brother Steven Stefanac. She is survived by her sibling David (JoAnne) Stefanac, and niece Dani (Chevell) Stefanac. Additionally, Nancy is survived by her husband, a large loving and extended family; including Michelle (Jack) Fouts and an accompaniment of family and friends who were graced by her light.
A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, May 15th, 2021 at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church at 1125 Old Steese Highway North at 10:00 am. Flowers or donations to the church in her name may be sent there. There will be a livestream of the service available; go to straphaelfairbanks.org for information.
