Obituary

James Levon Hill was surrounded by family and friends when he passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2023, in Fairbanks, Alaska, after a tragic motorcycle accident at the age of 73. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jim was born on April 16, 1950, in Yankton, South Dakota.

Jim is survived by his wife, Kay Hill; his children, Dennard Hegna, Michael Hegna, Michelle Stretch, Michelle Davis, and Brandon Hill; sister, Rhonda W. Collins, brother, Monte R. Hill, six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was an Army veteran. Jim retired from Local 302 Operating Engineers and International Operating Engineers.

Services will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1500 Cowled Street. The viewing is at 5:30 p.m., the funeral starts at 6:30 p.m., and the celebration is at Pikes Waterfront Lodge in the Binkley Room, with dinner and refreshments at 7:30 p.m.
