On March 28th Diana Marina Armstrong “Wolinski” went to be with the Lord and her beloved parents in heaven, while surrounded by family near and far.
Born in Hannover Germany on Oct 18th 1951 to Ingesburg and Stanislav Wolinski. She was the first of 6 children. From the very beginning she had a love and passion for family. She always made sure she made time for her parents and siblings while she lived in Germany.
Diana graduated from college with a degree as a paralegal. She spent a short stint doing that, but her true passion came later as a certified nurse’s assistant. Diana had a passion for caring for those in need, especially those with disabilities and the elderly. During her time as a CNA she comforted many people in their final hours. She was compassionate and caring and cried every time she lost a patient, that’s just how big her heart was.
Before she had children Diana loved to travel and visited many places across Europe. Through the years Diana was blessed to have 9 children. She loved her children and always made sure that they had what they needed and cared for them deeply. Christmas in her home was always a big deal and she made sure the tree was full of presents and there was always an assortment of cookies and candies. Sunday dinners growing up in her home were always a must with family seated together at the dinner table. She enjoyed sitting outdoors in her yard and always had the latest lawn furniture. She enjoyed her summer flower garden, and you could always find her sipping on a cup of coffee in the morning at the dining room table or outside during the warm long summers. She loved music and she loved to dance, she knew how to have fun and loved a great party with friends and family. Diana also spoke often to her German friends (Beata) that she had made through the years in the Fairbanks local community.
After all the children moved out and started their own lives, she was blessed to have many grandchildren, she adored them and was proud of each of them. She retired at the age of 65 and spent the remainder of her years spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mom, you will leave a big void in all our hearts. We will forever cherish the memories we all shared and the unconditional love you gave. An amazing mother you will never be forgotten always cherished with deep abounding love. We know you will be watching over us from the heavens above surely reunited with our savior and Oma and Opa.
Diana is survived by her 9 children and their spouses and partners, Mario, Steve (Ashley), Mandy (Robert), Michael (Crystal), Ryan, Lorne (Stephanie), Ayla (Joel), Daniel, and Bradley (Jenn). She is also survived by her 17 grandchildren, Alexya, Annebelle, Ellie, Elijah, Elias, Everly, Elodie, Hailey, Harper, Isaac, Josh, Kinsley, Leonie, Levi, Michael, Sarai, and Zeylinn.
