Devan Thomas Stockton, May 18, 1995 – July 4, 2022. He lived in North Pole, Alaska his rntire life and was born at Fairbanks Memorial at10PM.
Devan always loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting He and his Dad got certified for bow hunting at the same time. They spent hours practicing with a target in their backyard and looked forward to going hunting with their bows.
From an early age, Devan had an interest in science, bugs, plants, rocks, mechanics or just to find out what makes something work. He loved to do experiments, like breaking rocks open, making electris motors from batteries and working with plants.
If Devan loved you it was warm and true love. The family was all that mattered to him. He would have done anything for any one of us and had always been there to lend a hand. He would check on his grandparents to see if there was anything they needed regularly. His nieces and nephew meant the world to him. He said they were the closest he would ever come to kids of his own. He loved them very much and they loved him.
Some friends called him “Big Devan” and others just “No Shoes”, this came from him hating shoes and him being barefoot all the time. From the earliest age, he would take his shoes off constantly, most grow out of that, but Devan never did, he just hated wearing shoes. Devan had the warmest smile, at age 1, he won the best smile at a baby contest. He always had big hugs for anyone he loved.
Devan is survived by his mother, Bobbi Stockton, sister, Victoria, nieces; Mackenzie and Tazlina, nephew, Elias, grandparents, Bob and Peggy Mantei, all of Fairbanks, grandpa, Tom Stockton, grandma, Theresa Martindale both of Twin Falls, ID.
