Theodore Alfred Potter Sr.

Theodore Alfred Potter Sr. passed from this life at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital on March 30, 2019, surrounded by family and friends.
Theodore was born in Tulsa Oklahoma, August 2, 1939 he was one of ten siblings. Theodore was a Vietnam Veteran of 13 years. He joined the Army at a young age with his mothers consent.
In the 1970’s he and his family moved to Australia, where he professionally played music under the stage name of Al James, he was billed as Australia’s Johnny Cash. In the 1980’s he returned to Alaska, where he built a remote cabin on the Yukon, past Ruby at the old telegraph station.
Theodore married Fern Patterson in 1989 at Wrangell Alaska. He preformed music with his wife under the stage name of Del Rivers. He made two music albums he also played a variety of instruments. Later in his life Theodore became a published author of many novels that are available on Amazon.
Theodore is survived by his wife Fern of 30 years, who resides in Tok, Alaska, Four children, Debbie Hobbs, Donna Potter, Theodore Potter Jr. and Patty Potter, nine grandchildren and twelve great grand children all of Australia.
Theodore was a patriot, and a member of the NRA. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
