On September 29th, 2019, Steve Cox age 55 of North Pole was called to Heaven. His loving wife and loved ones were by his side when he made his journey.
Steven Ray “Bubba” Cox was born November 6, 1963 in Sacramento, California. He worked on computers from a young age, working with his parents in their family business as well as Intel before moving to Alaska where he worked most recently at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital as an Information Security Engineer.
Steve had many hobbies in his lifetime including fly fishing, golf, bowling, bike riding, softball, astronomy, knife making, raising registered Angus beef, gold panning, eskrima martial arts, smoking and grilling, flying, camping, wood working, ham radio, hunting, all forms of shooting, playing guitar, ukulele, viola, bass and mandolin, bird watching, photography, four wheeling, chess, computer programming and eating great food- especially sushi.
Most importantly, Steve loved and lived his life for Jesus, studying his Bible and sharing the love of God and his unswerving faith with everyone who knew him.
Steve’s life will be remembered in the lives of his wife, five children, seven grandchildren, parents, sisters, and many more cherished friends and family members.
A memorial service celebrating Steve’s life will be held 5:30pm Friday, October 4th at
North Pole Assembly of God; 503 Kit Blvd. North Pole, AK.
Steve didn’t care about flowers, but was always the first to give to help those in need so it seems fitting that instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to North Pole Assembly of God Missions.
