Stephen Harry Wagner, age 63, passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 in Sogod, Southern Leyte Philippines.
Stephen was born on March 9, 1955 in Pomona, CA. He graduated early from Pomona High School in 1974 to join the US Navy. He was stationed on the USS Ranger and the USS Enterprise. He was an aviation structured mechanic (egress systems). His Navy career took him all over the world to places such as the Philippines, Australia, New Zealand, Spain and Antarctica. He married three times and enjoyed his life. He had a deep relationship with God and God gave him a life of adventure. Steve was a hard worker in the Navy and for the State of Alaska. After retirement, he went to Spain and the final destination on Earth in the Philippines. Steve had many friends throughout the US and World. He had special comraderies for fellow sailors and correction officers.
Steve is survived by his wife, Raquil of Southern Leyte, Philippines and stepsons, Lexar and Walton, former spouses, Robin and daughters, Meagan and Amanda of Fairbanks, and Corrine and son, Bryan Wagner and stepson Steve of Visalia, CA, brother, Larry (Gail) Wagner of Grass Valley, CA, sister, Linda of Grass Valley, CA, and nephew and niece, Brett, Callie and Caleb of Grass Valley, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Marilyn (Hanson) Wagner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Blanchard Family Funeral Home; 611 Noble Street where there will be Military Honors at 2:30 p.m.
