Margaret was born November 20, 1940, in Olney Maryland. She lived there until her marriage to
Martin J. Hall on December 20, 1969. She soon went to Rhode Island, and then to California
where, upon retiring from the Navy, Marty worked for a fire bomber company. In 1976, his work
took them to Fairbanks Alaska.
Before this, she attended Sherwood High School in Sandy Spring Maryland where she
graduated in 1958, followed by two years earning degree in Business Administration attending
St. Mary's Jr. College, in Saint Mary's City, Maryland graduating in 1960. She followed this by
working nine years Vitro Labs in Aspin, Maryland.
Margaret was a long-time fox hunting member of the Goshen Hunt in Montgomery County
Maryland where she was one of the very few women to "earn her colors."
She then worked for the Alaska State Troopers "0" Detachment from 1978 until her retirement
in 2000, where she took her job seriously. She excelled in her performance, earning multiple
accolades and awards.
Five years ago she suffered an injury that left her wheelchair bound. While she had limitations,
she exceeded expectations of some professionals, and was proud of the fact that she could
walk at all.
She is missed by her four "fur kids" (two dogs and two cats), and her husband of 48 years.
