Joseph "Joe" Nash passed on Dec. 30, 2018, in his home. Joe will be remembered as a funny, life-loving individual with a heart of gold. He was family oriented and would go out of his way to support his family and friends. After battling with illness for many years, he has finally found peace. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his partner, Candy Green; his children, Shawnee Green and Rodrick Smith; niece and nephew, Ana Rose and Jacob Doyer; brothers, Robert Nash, James Nash, David Felix and John Felix; grandchildren, Blaze and Laylonie Reeves; aunts, Linda Evans, Beverly Joseph and Lillian "Babes" Coleman; Sharron K.; uncles, Clifford Joseph, Ben Joseph and Chuck Newby Jr.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Ann Felix; father, Jimmy Nash; his grandparents, Virginia and Chuck Newby; aunts, Barbara Ann Bjornsted, Kitty Smith, Charlotte Dahmen, Candy Osteen; and uncle Vernon Joseph.
A service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at the Chief David Salmon Tribal Hall. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. and service at noon. Joseph will be laid to rest at Birch Hill Cemetery immediately after the service. A potluck will be at the Chief David Salmon Tribal Hall at 6 p.m. Feel free to bring a covered dish.
