Dear Doris (and family), I was saddened to her of John’s passing and wanted you to know I’m thinking of you. I do know how hard it is to loose someone you love. My sincere condolences.

Doris, Ruthie, Tim and Tom and families, my brother Martin just alerted me to John's passing, and I wanted to tell you how kind and gentle he was to me as a LiWa camper in the mid-60s. I know my dad looked to him as a leader in the Christian faith, and respected him greatly. You will all miss him--I know that--and I will be holding you in my thoughts and prayers over these next weeks and months. May God grant you comfort and peace, and may John rest in the loving arms of our Father.

I was so sorry to hear of John's passing. He was a significant part of my formative years in the professional world. I think of my time at the GI and ASF with John fondly and know that he contributed a bit to my rebellious spirit since he allowed me some transgressions. I remember my first trip to Rome was with John and he humored me by driving me to a square dance in downtown Rome so I could have the international experience.....after convincing me I had to walk to the top of St. Peter's Basilica. He was a great mentor in my early days and someone I would gladly call friend rather than boss.

Dear Doris and Family, Sorry to learn of John's passing. I remember him from working at the GI with my late husband, Albert. He was a favorite employee of Al's-- always dependable and trustworthy. They worked on numerous projects together--many involved traveling to remote areas ;or around the US and other countries. What a wonderful privilege to work with such a fine Christian man as John. He's helped so many people during his lifetime. May he rest in peace. My sincere sympathy to you all. SB

Dear Doris, Ruthie, Timmy and Tommy, My condolence for you all in John’s passing. At the same time I rejoice with you that one glorious daybreak, we shall all meet Jesus in the air as promised! My memories of John are wonderful, in fact John was one of my elders whose life witnessed to me in childhood and long after I left home. He was one of a handful of men at Denali Bible Chapel that were the role models based in the Word of God and the sound doctrine of the shed blood of Christ. It took me a very long time to stop chasing the kingdom of self but the teachings ofJohn and the other elders there in the church helped me to understand the way of truth. I shall be eternally thankful to Uncle John and Aunt Doris for their living witness to me in the days of my youth and the echos of their teachings of God’s truth throughout my adult years! Today I serve my Lord thanks to all of you and His grace.
